I am directed by the Secretary of State for the Colonies to inform

you that leave of absence for 6 months, commencing on the 14th instant,

has been granted by the Government of Hong Kong to Mr. Robert Jameson, Assistant Master Victoria College

I annex the usual Certificate, and am to instruct you to issue

to Mr. Jameson the pay to which he is entitled in accordance with that Certificate, except that he is entitled to full salary up to the 13th Sept. inclusive instead of the 13th instant.
